On ‘Asylum, migration, and integration – similar challenges, different patterns’ from June 24 to July 6, 2016 in Europe (Poland, Germany, France)

Against the backdrop of the current refugee crisis in Europe, EPRIE 2016  focuses on forced migration, integration, and their effect on nation states. First we will examine the various reasons for migration. What are the differences and similarities between Europe and East Asia? What impact does migration have on nation states? What factors play a significant role in the creation of current migration policies? What does integration mean, and how can it be achieved? Experts in science, politics, and civil society will introduce their perspectives and discuss them with the participants. Last but not least, we will ask European parliamentarians how migration will likely reshape the European Union.
