The International PhD Program in Taiwan and Transcultural Studies focuses on the study of Taiwan cultures from a broadly comparative perspective and within a global context. The program aims to develop interdisciplinary, cutting-edge research in the humanities, and is dedicated to training prospective professionals that are able to combine local knowledge with global perspectives.
Courses are taught in English (with the exception of those that focus on Chinese-language materials). Required courses include: (1) Taiwan Humanities Studies in the International Context, (2) Academic Writing, and (3) Cultural Institutions and Internationalization (practical training).
Important dates for admission:
_*February 1^st ~ March 31^st *_*, 2016*: application submission period for applicants for fall 2016.
_*June 5^th , 2016*_: Notification of fall 2016 admission decisions. (The admission decisions will also be announced on the websites of OIA and NCHU.)
