CfA: Full-Time Researcher Position, Institute of Modern History, Academia Sinica

1. Position:
Researcher, open rank (Research Fellow, Associate Research Fellow, or Assistant Research Fellow). This is a tenure-track research position (ranks corresponding to full professor, associate professor, or assistant professor in the university system) exempt from teaching duties.
2. Field: Modern history.
3. Qualifications:
a) The applicant must have a Ph.D. in relevant fields or confirmation that will receive Ph.D. degree by June 30, 2024.
b) Chinese comprehension sufficient for academic work.

d) According to the “Act Governing Relations between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area,” this position is currently not open to citizens of the People’s Republic of China.
4. Application materials:
a) Detailed curriculum vitae (including field specializations and language abilities) plus a complete list of academic publications.
b) Ph.D. diploma or letter from thesis advisor confirming that the applicant will receive the Ph.D. degree by June 30, 2024.
c) At most five academic publications, including Ph.D. dissertation if applicable but not book reviews. For publications in languages other than Chinese and English, please attach a Chinese or English abstract.
d) Three letters of recommendation.
e) Research proposal (maximum five pages).
