The Research Department Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics at the ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research is looking for a

Summer Intern (m/f/d)

WE OFFER:

  • Insights into applied microeconomic research with a focus on the Chinese economy
  • In particular, support in preparing and analysing microeconomic data
  • Analysis of China’s policy and institutional setting
  • Opportunity to attend seminars and develop own research ideas
  • Insights for 3 months (July 1 until September 30)

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Enrolled student in economics, applied mathematics, computer science, or data science (your last exam must take place after the end of your internship at ZEW)
  • Excellent command of English and decent Chinese reading skills
  • Interest in working with large data sets and mining unstructured data
  • Good programming skills (especially Stata, R, Python)
  • Reliability and independent work
