CfA: Tenure-Track Faculty Position in the College of Social Sciences

Job Description

The College of Social Sciences, National Chengchi University (Taiwan) invites applications for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor/associate professor/professor with expertise in multidisciplinary social sciences encompassing fields such as political science, economics, sociology, and technology, best with an Asian-Pacific studies focus.

A successful candidate for this tenure-track position is expected to teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses in the aforementioned fields, all conducted in English.

The position begins on February 1, 2025

Please submit:

1. Curriculum Vitae (indicating academic experiences, specializations, research interests, and the rank of position you apply for).

2. Certificate of PhD degree (Those who have not received the diploma must provide proof of having passed the oral exam or of approval of dissertation) and other documents that prove related academic and practical experiences. Foreign PhD diplomas must be authenticated by the ROC (Taiwan) Consular Office no later than September 20, 2024.

3. Official PhD transcript (not required for applicants with the ranked associate professor or higher Certificates issued by the Ministry of Education, ROC (Taiwan) ).

4. List of publications.

5. PhD dissertation (not required for applicants who are ranked associate professors or higher) and up to five representative publications from the last 5 years.

6. Two to Four syllabi of courses (including at least two in English) you intend to teach.

7. Two recommendation letters (not necessary for holders of the university teacher certificate issued by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education; letters should be postmarked by September 20, 2024, and sent to the College of Social Sciences by registered mail).
