Theme:
In the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the issue will discuss the drivers and mechanisms to collectively plan, finance and manage environmental pollution and carbon reduction. Sustainability solutions are realized via technological, social, and institutional innovations that are complementary to each other. Contributions will examine successful stories as well as challenges encountered in searching for sustainability solutions across different geo-political and administrative levels. Furthermore, we welcome contributions adopting one or more of the following approaches incorporating economic, institutional, legal, and technical analysis in understanding mechanisms and processes of governing and managing changes in a multi-level governance regime. The issue will particularly gather experiences in emerging economies that can provide lessons to other countries/regions. It is aimed at a wide audience of policymakers, policy analysts, scientists and the informed public.
