The Short Introductions to Korean Studies series invites proposals for concise, accessible, and research-grounded volumes offering high-quality insights into Korean society, politics, culture, history, and thought—spanning from the pre-modern to the contemporary era.
With global interest in Korea on the rise—from K-pop and cinema to social movements and geopolitics—this series aims to meet the growing demand for reliable and engaging academic content. Authored by scholars and educators both within and beyond Europe, these volumes are intended to support undergraduate teaching while also serving journalists, educators, and the wider public seeking informed perspectives on Korea.
