CfP: The World of the Orient, No. 1, 2026

The journal The World of the Orient (Shìdnij svìt) invites submissions for the next issue (No. 1, 2026).

Deadline for articles: December 1, 2025.
Language of publications: Ukrainian and English.

The World of the Orient is Ukraine’s leading academic journal in Asian Studies. It is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, included in the List of Scientific and Professional Publications of Ukraine (category A), and published by the A. Yu. Krymskyi Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. 

The journal accepts original research articles on topical issues of Asia’s past and present, its languages and literature, history, philosophy, culture, and religion, Ukrainian contacts with Asian countries, bibliographic surveys, and reviews, as well as the history and culture of peoples of eastern origin within Ukraine. The journal also accepts translations of historical, religious, and literary monuments of the Orient.
